May 23, 2022

Please note: All procedures may be altered or amended based on any updates and/or regulations from the CDC and the American Camping Association.

Camp Tekoa looks forward to hosting thousands of campers, staff and volunteers this summer. We will continually monitor health recommendations from the CDC and the American Camping Association. The health and safety of our campers is our utmost priority. We successfully ran camp in 2021 with over 1800 guests. We look forward to an even larger and more exciting summer in 2022 as we continue to live into our mission of:Touching Hearts. Changing Lives. Sharing the Light of Christ.

Pre-Camp

Before arriving at Tekoa, please monitor your camper's health and well-being.  If campers are not feeling well or have any symptoms of Covid-19, do not arrive at camp.  We welcome you to take a Covid-19 test prior to your arrival, but do not require it.

Covid-19 vaccines are strongly recommended but not required.

At check-in, our nurses will ask you several health screening questions. Please assess the health of your camper and answer honestly.

There will not be temperature checks on-site. However, if you have a high temperature, please do not attend.

During Camp:

Masking: Optional masking is welcomed based on camper comfort level.  Masks are not required. However, If cases rise within our campers and staff, Tekoa reserves the right to add masking within our dining space as needed or offer outdoor dining at times.

Sanitation: Tekoa is encouraging strong sanitation practices and will maintain a level of cleanliness to mitigate the spread of germs.

Small Groups: The mixing of groups is limited due to our Family Group model.  This will continue to be a part of our programming.

Health Center: We will have nurses on site throughout the summer.  If symptoms arise during the week, campers will be asked to return home to heal. No campers will be staying onsite with a fever, cough or other symptoms of Covid-19.

Refund Policy:

All health related departures during camp fall into our general cancellation / refund policy.  No refunds are given for early departures.  Sickness is something we always hope to avoid in the camp environment, but remains out of the control of the camp.  Please do your best to ensure your camper is healthy upon arrival.

Thank you for your trust and we look forward to seeing you soon!
